What is a wildlife rehabilitator? It is a state and/or federally licensed volunteer who cares for injured and orphaned native Virginia wildlife. They provide the supplies, foods and caging needed for the care of each individual species with the goal of releasing all animals back into their natural habitat. Who is ARK? We are a network of
licensed, independent wildlife rehabilitators who volunteer to care for
native Virginia wildlife. We also have volunteers who help
with fund raising, transporting, work our hot line, and
numerous other tasks. We have licensed educators
who do programs for the public about the behavior of
and coexistence with wildlife in your backyard. Listed below are web sites on wildlife rehabilitation with rehabilitators in those areas: Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries' List of licensed wildlife rehabilitators by county: Waynesboro: Wildlife
